About Us
AeVee Laboratories was formed by the principal engineers at Madrigal Audio Labs. We have spent years developing the finest audio and video consumer electronics that money can buy (www.marklevinson.com). This takes expertise in a wide range of disciplines including high precision, low noise analog electronics, leading edge digital circuits, digital signal processing, networking, real-time software and user interface design. We understand what it takes to design and manufacture state of the art electronics and we know how to get maximum performance out of any budget.
We have also honed an engineering process that enables us to schedule, plan, build and test reliable products in a predictable manner. The effectiveness of our engineering process is due to the system itself and to the proven capability of our Engineering Team to successfully implement our system. We formed AeVee Laboratories to keep control of a process we are proud of, to keep together a solid engineering team and to continue to practice our craft at the highest level.
AeVee Laboratories is available to help you with your engineering needs. From complete product development to PC board development to software, digital signal processing, and FPGA design. We have done it and can help you.
Principal
Bob Gorry, Bob has 20 years of engineering experience in video, audio, and telecommunications. He earned electrical engineering degrees from Yale University (MSEE) and the University of Connecticut (BSEE) . At Yale, Bob studied digital signal processing with Roman Kuc and acoustics with Robert Apfel. He was Chief Engineer at Madrigal Audio Labs, leading development of the Mark Levinson No40 Media Console, a groundbreaking home theater system. Other major technical accomplishments include a high performance videoconferencing system for central-office based distance learning facilities, an ISDN videoconferencing system for the banking industry, and one of the first commercial voice-recognition systems, implemented by NYNEX in the early 1990’s. Bob also worked with the international MPEG and MHEG committees and designed a set-top box as part of his duties for ITV Technologies in the early days of interactive television.
Personnel
AeVee Laboratories has a balanced engineering staff with extensive experience in digital electronics, analog electronics, and embedded software in consumer electronics, aerospace, and telecommunication. Products developed by our staff include audio power amplifiers, gigabit telecommunication network switches, digital audio processors, interactive television set-top boxes, ultrasonic measurement systems, high definition video processors, voice recognition, and video teleconferencing systems.
